Expanding our land and property development business and replenishing our development pipeline is a key element of our strategic vision. Hargreaves Land already benefits from a significant development pipeline, but we are constantly seeking to enhance our offering through an active acquisition strategy.
A partnership that works
We are always seeking new development opportunities throughout the UK, with a particular focus across the Midlands, North of England, and Scotland.
We are a flexible and agile organisation that allows quick decisions to best apply our extensive expertise and experience across a broad range of deal structures.
We are already involved in projects of less than 5 acres to those in excess of 500 acres.
Delivery of each project is through the development of tailored solutions that meet landowners, end-users, and key stakeholders’ requirements. Collaboration is key to any successful partnership.

These opportunities include:
strategic land
Farmland adjacent to existing residential conurbations, employment areas, and/or strategic infrastructure where there is potential to promote and secure an allocation through the Local Plan process. Disused or underused sports facilities, complex brownfield opportunities, and even sites with previously unsuccessful planning histories where a change of circumstances or different approach could apply.
developments
Land already allocated or benefitting from planning permission. Land previously developed in part or whole where there is the potential to secure higher value consents or uses that can readily release the sites’ true value in the near term. Encompassing brownfield or greenfield sites from just a few acres through to large multi-phase opportunities requiring a lead developer.
partnerships
Working directly with a wide variety of both public and private-sector landowners to realise the maximum value of land and deliver key outputs through bespoke joint venture arrangements, which are structured to maximise the objectives of all parties.
